How information is reviewed, what is published, and what should be confirmed on the official source.
1. Core principle
Where Horses Run is a static-first guide that helps people reach official horse-racing information. It does not republish everything that can be collected. Information is organized according to verified scope and the public-display boundary.
For current facts, official sources from organizers, regulators, and racecourses take priority. If this site and an official source differ, use the official source for final confirmation.
2. How sources are used
Official sources are used to confirm current facts such as meeting dates, racecourses, post times, and organizer information. Official links on public pages are routes to the latest and complete information.
Reference sources may be used for a limited purpose such as terminology, historical context, racing-system context, or discovery of an official route. A current meeting is not confirmed from a reference source alone.
3. Review before publication
Candidate information is checked for subject, date, place, source, and publication-safe fields before it enters the public dataset. Unreviewed candidates and internal work states are not exposed as public records.
The same source can support different levels of public detail. Missing fields are not filled by inference. When a field cannot be confirmed, the page stays lighter and directs the reader to the official source.
4. Dates, times, and timezones
Meeting dates and post times are normally treated as local dates and local times in the timezone used by the official source. When a timezone appears on a page, it is the interpretation basis for that meeting information.
Daylight-saving changes, official time changes, postponements, and cancellations can make information change after publication. Confirm the official source before travel, viewing, or other plans.
5. Today, Tomorrow, and calendar views
Today, Tomorrow, Calendar, and Current Timetable views are generated from committed, reviewed public data. Displayed meetings represent the scope approved for public display at that point.
An empty view does not prove that no racing exists in a country or region. It can mean that no reviewed public record is available or that official information still needs rechecking.
6. Publication ranks
C covers meeting date and racecourse. B adds the first-race time. B+ adds first- and last-race times. A permits race labels and post times.
A+ is a lightweight programme summary on meeting-detail pages. It may add policy-approved race name, distance, surface, and course fields. It is not a complete racecard.
7. Last checked and updates
A “Last checked” date records when a source or field was last reviewed. It does not guarantee that the information has not changed since then or remains valid for the next meeting.
Records are updated when reviewable official information and evidence are available. Real-time updates and immediate coverage of every change are not promised.
8. Corrections, reduction, and removal
When an error, stale information, insufficient support, or an official-route change is confirmed, the affected information may be corrected, reduced, or removed. If confidence decreases, the page returns to a lighter official-link-first presentation rather than retaining unsupported detail.
When sources disagree, the official source closest to the current fact takes priority. Unresolved conflicts are not merged through speculation.
9. Excluded information and limitations
The site does not publish entries, horse names, jockey or trainer names, draws, weights, odds, results, payouts, predictions, betting picks, complete racecards, or copied official-source text. It also does not embed video or provide direct stream URLs, unofficial mirrors, or copied recordings.
Where Horses Run is an information-discovery guide. It does not guarantee that a meeting will take place, that a time is final, that coverage is complete, or that viewing access is available. Use the official source for final decisions.
